QuickAlert™ Speeds Distribution of Amber Alerts

DRAPER, UT, August 23, 2004. FrameRate announced today the release of QuickAlert™, a web-based alerting service for delivery of important notifications such as Amber Alerts, severe weather advisories, school closure notices, or other emergency messages.

QuickAlert allows dispatchers, emergency responders, and other authorized users to quickly create information alerts by simply filling out a form and publishing the alert. The server then distributes the alert to subscribers via email, pager, cell-phone text messages, fax, instant messaging, and other devices.

Amber Alert notifications are the first intended use of QuickAlert. Other templates for homeland security, weather alerts, and school closure notices will be released in the near future.

QuickAlert is an outgrowth of capabilities built into FrameRate's CGLink and ContentServer television channel automation products. As such, QuickAlert can automatically place messages on private or public television networks, either as a full screen message or as a crawl along the bottom third of the screen.

"The real power of QuickAlert is the ability to create pre-defined templates that allow dispatchers to issue alerts by simply filling out a form and publishing the alert to the subscriber list," said James Harvey, President and CEO of FrameRate. "This eliminates confusion and speeds the delivery of important messages to police, fire, and civil defense agencies as well as city managers, public information officers and elected officials."

QuickAlert is available as a subscription service or as a stand-alone product. Federal, state, county, and local governments can integrate QuickAlert into their operations quickly and inexpensively.

More information on FrameRate products and services may be found on the FrameRate web site at http://www.framerate.com. Online demos are available.
