DRAPER, UT, March 29, 2004. FrameRate, the leading provider of complete multimedia delivery solutions, announced today the availability of a video messaging service using FrameRate's ground-breaking new product, the Millennium ContentServer™.
Acting as an Application Service Provider (ASP), Framerate hosts the ContentServer in their secure data center. Clients gain all the benefits of the product without large capital investments in infrastructure, staff, equipment, or training. Prices start as low as $49.95 per month.
The Millennium ContentServer is a powerful web-based approach to managing multimedia and video messaging systems. This Next Generation Technology provides content authoring, management, storage and distribution services to remote point-of-display systems.
This product offers major advantages over traditional video messaging systems. Most importantly, it uses advanced web-based technology to automate the delivery of content to remote display systems over standard networks. Further, it allows access via any web browser on the network, thereby eliminating the need to load proprietary software on workstations. This greatly simplifies operation and reduces IT management costs. Content can be delivered to dedicated display systems, PEG access channels, desktop screen savers, web pages, remote video servers, and PDA devices. The product supports many different media types including graphics, PowerPoint files, MPEG2 video, and Flash animation.
"Offering video messaging as a hosted service is a new approach that can greatly reduce infrastructure and management costs to the end user," said James Harvey, President and CEO of FrameRate. "No product on the market today compares to the capabilities of the Millennium ContentServer or the ease with which users can deliver content to one or hundreds of display sites. It produces content suitable for PEG access television, photo advertising channels, digital signage, and advertising displays."
