FrameRateŽ Initiates Sponsorships for PEG Access Centers

SANDY, UT, Jul 28, 2003. FrameRate, the leading provider of complete multimedia delivery solutions, announced today the creation of a PEG Access Center Sponsorship Program that makes FrameRate ContentServer technology available to non-profit PEG access centers with limited funding.

Access centers sponsored by FrameRate will gain access to FrameRate's unique ContentServer Bulletin Board Service. This server-based technology allows the access center to store their bulletin board content on a secure remote server and have it delivered automatically to their display system when changes are made. In most cases, the access center will already have the computers needed to implement the service.

"We believe the success of public, educational, and government access television is a crucial element of community unity. There are many, many small access centers all across America that struggle with limited funds. We are pleased to be able to support the efforts of these centers by sponsoring their activities," said James Harvey, President and CEO of FrameRate. "The service allows access centers to schedule playback of their graphic, PowerPoint, or HTML bulletin board content in ways they've never been able to do before."

The benefits of this approach are many. Access centers can logon to the ContentServer from any web browser on the Internet. It allows 24/7 posting of Amber Alert-style emergency messages or public notices immediately without having to send someone to the office. Since the server is in a secure data center, content can be backed up nightly.

Initially, sponsorships will only be offered to non-profit 501c(3) members of the Alliance for Community Media that have budgets less than $100,000. "We are pleased that FrameRate chose the Alliance for their initial sponsorship program. We have worked hard to support access centers and this fits well with our mission," said Bunnie Riedel, the Executive Director of the Alliance for Community Media.  "FrameRate's technology will help access centers get more information out to the community faster and more efficiently."
